Psychological problems are thoughts, feelings and behaviors that cause difficulty with the ability to work and enjoy life. Your interpersonal relationships may also suffer. In Individual Therapy, you willl work closely with the therapist to resolve the blocks that you are experiencing. As a result of this, you will be able to articulate your feelings clearly and express to others what you need from them. Overall, these change should lead to a more enjoyable life and a greater sense of freedom as you rediscover your own voice and your true feelings.
Family, Child OR Adolescent Therapy

- Adjustment to prepubescent and pubescent physical and emotional changes
- Single parenthood
I offer both long term and short term group therapy sessions that will be limited to a group of 5 members. Some groups are more general in focus, with goals related to improving overall life satisfaction and effective life functioning, especially in the area of interpersonal relationships. Other groups are "focused" . These group members focus on a specific topic or problem area in their life. Examples of these types of groups include depression, stress management skills and assertiveness.
While no therapist would encourage you to come to therapy you cannot afford, let us consider the fee for a moment. The cost of therapy is something to be considered and budgeted for. It may seem daunting to include the cost of long term therapy in your budget, and often there is an immediate reaction of "I can't afford it!" BUT consider that you have taken a very important step by making contact with a therapist. In essence, you have taken the time to invest in yourself and how you envision your life. Talking about your issues is tantamount to taking responsibility for yourself, your life and how it affects others. Most often, when you make this kind of commitment, you start to feel better.
I try to make the treatment fee manageable for all clients. The fee is usually set upon initial phone contact. I provide a fee-range and ask that you commit to paying a set fee from that range that you feel is affordable. As with all topics, the fee is something that can be openly talked about and I encourage it.
